The idea of "Films for the Earth" goes back to a small group of committed swiss environmentalists: in 2007, they founded the non-profit association in Winterthur with the aim of motivating kids, teenagers as well as adults to live a more sustainably live. They established the world's leading film database for environmental documentaries was established and got awarded by the UNESCO for their environmental education initiative. In September 2018, the time had come: the German partner association Filme für die Erde e.V. was founded in Constance. The goal of the NGO is to inspire people trough films for the preservation of our natural foundations of life. Like hardly any other medium, film evokes strong feelings, conveys information and links it with impressive images and moving stories. This builds knowledge that stays in our minds for a quite a long time.
Since 2020 I volunteer as a board of directors and as head of design and marketing I’m responsible for the association communication and visual appearance. Whenever needed I also help out with the event management of the NGOs festivals and school actions.
