In 2019 I had the pleasure of working for and with Marine Conservation Philippines (MCP) as a media and communication officer. MCP is a non-governmental organization based in the north of the coral triangle, dedicated to preserve and protect coastal resources in the Philippines through education, volunteerism and research. They engage local communities and policy makers and work to ensure solutions that will benefit both man and nature in the long run. MCP brings people with diverse backgrounds and skills together to build financial, social and scientific capacity to respond to unprecedented threats to food security, social stability and ocean health.
Whilst working for Marine Conservation Philippines I was tasked to create a lot of different marketing as well as educational on and offline materials, such as a mangrove guide for their local mangrove forest, a volunteer manual, working on different websites the organization provides educational information for, and many more. During my stay, I was also responsible for a photographic documentation of their work and for providing their social media channels with excellent visuals and photographic footage.
